I am now in Alexandria, Virginia and how I got here is such a whirlwind! Everything happened SO fast! I have been looking for a job for months, with very little success. I was really beginning to think that there was something wrong with me. Well I was wasting time on Facebook one day and a friend posted that she knew of a family that was looking for a nanny, and I thought that I should apply for it, but I didn't take myself seriously, because it sounded crazy! Well a few days later I messaged her about it, and then I emailed the family. I had my first interview two weeks ago, yesterday. That's right, everything came together in two weeks, and everything worked out great!
I am so excited for this new adventure, but incredibly nervous all at the same time. I will be watching and taking care of one little 8 month old boy. It will be a great learning experience for me. Another great part is that, Alexandria is right outside of Washington DC, so I will get to explore all there is to see there too! I don't know if I will ever be able to drive here though! It all looks and sounds so confusing! I guess that all come with a little practice, and time. Wish me luck!! I think I'll need it!
